My name is Michael 'Mike' Pieterse and I have been involved in the music industry on different levels professionally since 2004. In 2019 I officially founded my company Michael Pieterse Music, as the umbrella entity for all my activities within the music industry.
During the course of my carreer as a DJ I have developed myself as a household name within the hardcore music scene as part of Sequence & Ominous. Under the obvious moniker Michael Pieterse I produce house music which is available on all major platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport etc. Last but not least I am also active as a DJ and producer in the UK Garage scene under the alias Flow State.
Next to DJing and producing my own music I have also been active as booking agent for 6 years at two artist agencies and I have worked as the content manager at an online dance music platform. Since 2019 I am also owner of That Garage Sound, a club event based in Amsterdam. In 2022 I have launched my very own record label Rain or Shine.
Remember that limited 200 pieces vinyl featuring four millennium hardcore flavoured downtempo tracks that got releases last year? While most of them were up exclusively up for sale at Hard-Wear, I have kept a small backstock in my studio and I think it's time to sell a few of them first-hand.

Nope, it’s not April Fools’! That Garage Sound is returning to the Kopstootbar on April 1st for a special vinyl only night. Headliner DJ Crisps from Rotterdam will be joining TGS residents Flow State, Xamount and Paul Nonnis on the line up. Expect nothing less than the best old and new UKG tunes played on the 1s and 2s.
I have been wanting to start my own record label for years and now the moment is finally there: Rain or Shine records is a fact! The first single release ‘Never Gonna Stop’ will be out July 22nd and there are already more releases in the pipeline.
